Augmented data- Copy, Paste and code on...

So what is augmented data? It's how a shortcut to better machine learning results when you don't have enough real data. (And this data shortage is problem I recently grappled with.) Augmented data is not exactly synthetic data. It comes from real data with some small transformations. In English, we are talking little nudges, little twists...maybe on something where you expect total symmetry (neuroradiology) a flip.

Thanks to the tremendous ignorance of the general public, people are making good business out of making fools of the computer illiterate. (Yeah, we can make you some augmented radiology data, but it will take maybe 10$ an image was one response I for when I spoke to someone at a company, that does this kind of augmented data work, asking for a sample to see if they were up to any magic I can't imagine). I'm going to wreck this party in the name of artificial neural nets for the poor.
