Hating Microsoft, and I must warn you

This is not just another hipster douche programmer whining about the evils of Microsoft as if they are the only company to use proprietary software in evil ways....I have a specific complaint.

Microsoft messed with my BIOS. Beware anyone reading this- you may not want to OK Microsofts latest updates without checking them very well. Yesterday I installed an update that actually messed with my BIOS. I stupidly assumed Microsoft would never put anything so critical into an update without making me sign off that I realized the update would mess with my entire system. I was wrong.

So this blog is just a friendly warning, the latest home Windows Microsoft auto-update could potentially put you into days of pain without the ability to boot up your machine. I wonder if enough people will realize this- and Microsoft's marketing will have to spin some nonsense about it. Microsoft marketing may already be too busy proclaiming that they are fans of opensource code to realize they just released something that screws with the computer of most people who run a Linux operating system. They can paint this turdy update anyways they like but...
